Consultation

The Cat Vet is open 7 days a week to provide care for our feline friends with extended availability. We highly recommend booking an appointment in advance for timely consultations and reduced waiting. Routine appointments at Cat Vet can last up to 20 minutes longer than the average 10–15 minute consultation at other clinics. The extended appointment allows you and your cat adequate time to get comfortable after travelling all the way to our clinic. This small personal touch is our way to deliver a holistic experience for our furry friends and their families, while saving enough time for treatment-related communication. We also offer Home Visits on special request across many locations in Dubai and other parts of the UAE.

You are welcome to contact us for more information. Please contact us for tips on how to bring your cat to the clinic in the least stressful journey for both him/her and you.

It's recommended to schedule annual check-ups for adult cats to monitor their overall health and catch any potential issues early. Kittens and senior cats may need more frequent visits to ensure they're receiving appropriate care as they grow or age.

Signs that need urgent attention include difficulty breathing, sudden changes in behaviour, vomiting or persistent diarrhoea, not eating or drinking, and noticeable pain or distress. These could indicate serious health problems that require prompt veterinary care.

Regular vet visits can help detect underlying conditions that aren't yet visible. Preventative care, including vaccinations and dental check-ups, ensures your cat remains healthy and can prevent diseases from developing. This proactive approach supports a longer, happier life for your furry friend.

We do offer walk in appointments and emergency assistiance. However, we recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure you are seen by one of our veterinary doctors in a timely manor. Walk in appointments, if not an emergency will be scheduled between pre-booked consultations. You can book an appointment via phone or WhatsApp on 05 4306 5423.

Health Check

At Cat Vet, we follow a birth-to-retirement care ethos and a holistic approach to the overall health and well-being of your precious cat child. We’ll ask you questions about their medical history, diet, habits, environment, etc. We will use this information to formulate the very best preventative healthcare plan.

Clinical examination is a critical component of preventive care. Even if your cat looks healthy and fit, we recommend at least one health check a year. This checkup really matters – especially as cats are the ultimate camouflage artists when it comes to hiding signs of illness or pain.

We assess everything starting at the nose and working our way back to the tail, comparing these findings to previous years and seeing if any occurrences, good or bad, are developing. We measure the cat’s weight and examine its ears, eyes, teeth, skin, and claws. We then examine the heart and lungs, and finally assess the abdomen.

Consider it as a yearly Medical Check-Up, providing you with the assurance that your cat is receiving top-notch care. If we detect any worry points, we deal with them as early as possible, controlling health risks before they turn into something more serious.
